GE Party

Yay, I finally met Lstr and Casey, the two good writers who prove they don't have to be pompous to be themselves. You can't see the blog, but Lstr was funny when he did post. I doubt he's returning to form because he's been busy. Casey is also busy, so much so that he's posting less often.

I hope that I'll finally post less often, when I actually do get a life. Jorn Barger wrote the inverse law of Usenet bandwidth, which may well be applied to blogging in some forms: "The more interesting your life becomes, the less you post and vice versa."

But that, of course, ignores the fact that blogging is sometimes used as a form of communication between friends (aside from IM and email), as a form of self-expression that people do take pride and time in writing, as a way to fulfill delusion of grandeur, and as a human portal that link to other sites--which can hide the persona of the writer even as it shows her bias.

It was a pleasure meeting you. Wish my ASL was better so that I'd had an easier time keeping up with you, but it's been a long time since I took classes.

Unfortunately, the blogging absence is strictly a combination of Work and World of Warcraft, so those rumors of "having a life" are greatly exaggerated. *grin*
