petition to re-do the presidential search

Jane Fernandes' name is popping up repeatedly on the petition site, making wonder if hackers are signing out and entering the names. You can find her at #1,793. Someone else also points out another one, but it'll be hard to go over 1,700 signatures to look for invalid ones. You'd better help.

Oh, I signed that petition. I'm # 90, but I signed it anonymously because I didn't know it was going to be that popular. You'll know it's me because I live in "San Leandro."

There was a complaint on Ridor that the petition site was vague because it didn't say anything about getting JKF (Jane K. Fernandes) to resign, but that's not the point. It's a petition to the BoT or some selecting body to remove her from the position and institute a different President. In fact, we could easily say that the signatures now outnumber the current number of students attending Gallaudet (1,600).

Keep watching this, guys! And sign the petition if you can, if you support the Deaf community and culture, even if you're not a Gallaudetian (Gallaudet student or alumnus).
