Al Gore

's redemption begins aboard a sailboat in the Ionian Sea. There, in waters once traveled by Odysseus during his long journey home after the Trojan War, Al and Tipper retreated during the summer of 2001 to recover from their ordeal.
Good man. But the Ionian Sea wasn't called that during Odysseus' time, was it? It was after the collapse of the Greeks' Bronze Age civilization that led to a mass migration, including the spread of the Ionians and the invasion of the Dorians. In any case, I'm catching delightful references to Greek mythology/history.

Read Ion by Euripides to learn how Ion was found to be the son of Creusa and Apollo. Ion's descendents would later be called the Ionians.
