doing the job

I notice that some people are justifying the decision of Fernandes by saying that she will "do the job." What job, indeed? What if she is as unsuccessful at raising attendance and graudation rate in the university, when compared to other presidents that have successfully done these along with increasing endowments and expanding opportunities?

Where does it say that she is eminently qualified when she most certainly might not be, especially as a provost, a high-ranking position as any?

Clearly, I need to check all the facts. I don't know much about what is happening in Gallaudet, so I'll keep silent on the topic.

And one other thing: If she did successfully raise standards and were strict in her administration for accountability, so much so that the students and faculty complain, that would be considered a good thing. But then, why hasn't she successfully convinced the faculty and students to go along with her? A good leader would be capable of doing that, motivating everyone to do better. She may have been a bad leader, along with I. King Jordan.

I am now signing out on this. Let the fury continue.

Oh, and to warn you from trusting too much in Ridor, because you who might not have experienced his vitriol should be happy that he is not throwing it at you. He explains his experience with Ridor.
