But with so many dead--Louisiana officials estimate the death toll in 10,000 to 15,000. The number is too high for me to believe, and I hope that it could be lowered . . . even just a little. To have an estimation in the thousands would be, as a refrain so often heard and so often meant, "more than we can bear."
