Instapundit has the most extensive list I've yet seen on whom to donate for the relief effort in New Orleans. After the levees broke to flood the city even more, we have images floating in our heads that makes us believed we could have done more. The time is not to wonder at whether we could have evacuated more people, or whether the government should have foreseen the scope of the disaster and created the infrastructure necessary to overrespond, rather than respond merely appropriately, but to save as many people as we can now. If the disaster was unprecedented, our compassion should also be likewise in equal measure, if not beyond.
