Bill Clinton has never won the majority vote. He won 43% in 1992, and 49.2% in 1996. We can say, with sufficient qualification, that Ross Perot siphoned votes away from Bob Dole and George Bush in both presidential elections. Not only that, the total number of people who voted in 1996 is lower than the number of people voting in 1992.

This is in contrast to George W. Bush and Al Gore as well as Bush and John Kerry elections, both raised the number of people voting. While George W. Bush became president without the popular vote in 2000 like Clinton, he did win in 2004 with 50.7% of the popular vote, despite the dull enthusiasm to John Kerry. This is a great accomplishment that Clinton never achieved.

If Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination, and does so by stealing it, by shady tactics such as saying that Obama isn't a Muslim "as far as I know," it will probably cause a lot of voters, including youth voters, to shut out of politics altogether. That might sound bad to you, but it doesn't sound bad to the Clintons. Both Hillary and Bill don't want to deal with the unknown unknowns.
