I forgot to mention that I think this will be the last time we have the primary elections so early. All the states had been racing to the beginning of the year because they all thought of Super Tuesday, or of the early primaries as being decisive in selecting the candidate for the nomination. Not wanting to be left out of the action California moved the election early to February, resulting in the largest Super-Duper Tuesday in all of history.

What did we get? Indecision 2008.

I think this is such a great system because it's a definite rebuke to the candidates for starting the campaign season so early. It gives the voters so much time to make a choice that they wind up being divided.
