Thank You Stephen Colbert
I've left a comment thanking Stephen Colbert for what he said during the White House Correspondent Dinner. The mainstream media didn't cover it, most likely because they didn't consider it funny.
Just as Jon Stewart wasn't considered funny for making fun of Hollywood, so would Stephen Colbert not be considered funny for making fun of Bush, the White House Press, or America at war.
No, this is humor at its most blackest, designed to discomfort and make us howl. If this nothing save of our society, since even the numberless death of soldiers pass through our ears and eyes with barely a murmuring grace, often ending either with an "I hate Bush" or a "Keep it up, Mr. President, you're keeping our country safe" and every family asunder torn.
It is quite appropriate, especially when we have a President that plays a banjo while soldiers die and families are left homeless. This is truth at its finest, when all the lies and euphemisms by all four estates are lifted from our eyes.
