A Jefferson Elementary School changed its name to Sequoia Elementary in 2005 because of the moral hypocrisy that Jefferson is seen as practicing, where he espoused and defended freedom, but kept and fathered slaves.
Whereas people think a liberal city might accept moral ambiguity and nuances, believe that everything is relative, this is a would-be proof to the contrary.
