FEMA Director is relieved

Now that FEMA Director has been stripped of his role as relief leader, an account shows all that New Orleans had to suffer in its slow progression to desperate struggle for survival, and then the ascendent anarchy when people threaten each other at gunpoint. An agency that sees the headline saying "New Orleans Dodges a Bullet and then ignores the rest that comes after: the migration to the convention center, the levees breaking, etc. is simply not a fit agency for a fit government. An agency that does not check the levees is beginning not to baffle me. When was the time when we could be assured that officials were well-trained, so we need not worry about electricity, water, shelter, and food?

We still must remember, it is not only he that shares responsibility. The whole of Homeland Security and the White House Administration astonishes me with its inefficacy.
