Schwarzenegger will veto
There it is, the dashed hope.
Citing opinions of five years ago, he decides he will veto the legislature because he doesn't want to go against the will of the voters.
I guess that's why there isn't much coverage, because until the bill is actually passed and signed into law, any legislature that tries to pass a law is powerless to the head of state.
My liking of him has dropped a notch lower, if I ever did like him.
UPDATE: via Sullivan, TalkingPointsMemo has a timeline on what has happened in Hurricane Katrina, including what had been done by officials on all levels since National Hurricane Center upgraded Katrina's status as a hurricane in August 25.
It's hypnotizing.
UPDATE 2: Another Timeline.
