exams

I have finished two exams today. Tomorrow begins the hardest yet, the culmination of the entire year, the two exams I took are but a shadow of what will come tomorrow, the toughest test yet, organic chemistry . . . the two words that strike fear and awe in me. Fear of failing, and awe in that I am interested in how it works.

Friends are gone and going for the summer. This is a feeling I little had before now. Sure, I always missed friends, but not these, whom I know better through regular contact than before. Yet, we are not that close. I don't think I have gotten to the real misery yet, the misery that makes summer seems like a winter to Shakespeare in the Sonnet:

"How like a winter hath my absence been
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezings have I felt, what dark days seen!
What cold December's bareness every where!"
