Desperate Housewives--again!?
the character Bree's (played by Marcia Cross) son's sexuality is heavily disputed.
That is just perfect. We will see the disciplinarian wife, whose husband had an affair, and who is so strict and mindful of the upbringing of her two children, deal with her son, whom she sent to detention camp to drive the rebellious side out of him, talking about homosexuality.
What's also interesting was that it's the father that Bree's son confided in, not the mother. It's a reversal of the stereotypical role, in which the mother is always understanding and accepting, but the father is full of hatred.
The mother is so proper and orderly, so clean, that it seems right because we always want to see how things would turn out.
