a centennial three-day celebration
The x86 Days
Remember that time so very long ago, perhaps a decade, when we could only obsess about PC that had 386 or 486?
Oh, I remember when I was little, I would look up information on tweaking my computer that had a paltry 386DX microprocessor, with perhaps a graphics accelerator that I could find in Oakland. My parents took me along, natch.
I noticed things like, if you're on a 386, the graphics will replace faster if you don't move your mouse. Nowadays, the mouse action is negligible.
Intel no longer called the next generation of the x86 the 586 because of copyrights that didn't allow protection of numbers. So from that point, we had the Pentium.
This is based on the international calendar of day/month/year.
