Happy Earth Day

For Earth Day:

"I have wondered if the small volumes of nuclear waste from power production should be stored in tropical forests and other habitats in need of a reliable guardian against their destruction by greedy developers".

Ha! What an idea! Put plutonium not in the Yucca Mountain of Nevada but in the Yellowstone, so those developers will keep away.

But what's rather interesting to think about is that, if we put plutonium in strategic places, we would not be able to stay in one area, but would regress back into a nomadic culture; like the owls, we'll have to walk around gathering fruits and hunting buffaloes, because staying in one place exposes ourselves to constant and debilitating radiation.
