Virus, Our Ancestor
Another surprising news: Virus, "poisonous slime," what we regard as the lowest of the low, the inhabitor of the limbo between the twain that we believe divides our universe, life and non-life. We hate them because they cause us flu and common cold, and they evade our immune system by mutating inexorably beyond what antibiotics can help.
It turns out that most viruses do exist that are not harmless. And most surprisingly of all, they may take the crowning glory denied to them, that of being the progenitor of life!
