truthiness
Word of 2005 is truthiness, how "truthy" something sounds compared to boring fact. In response, Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report puts Professor Michael Adams "On Notice", and Reporter Heather Clark on "You're dead to me".

More Colbert Report, including a complaint that I share that none of the Associated Press has even credited Colbert Report for bringing into the limelight the word "truthiness." It's unfair. He deserves the accolades (for real this time).
