No hard feeling. You just need to develop patience in politics, which should never be about winning, but about compromising between the competing factions of the people. I'm sure you'll go back up, but it can't be by hard-charging, claiming victory and mandate, and name-calling. You are allowed to run for re-election. I know I support your goals to reform the government, even as I disagree with the methods you take, such as taking the votes to the people.
