Armed Dolphins Released Into Gulf of Mexico
Fascinating; and scary. Slashdot links to an article saying that dolphins armed with toxic darts are missing, and possibly swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. Therefore, they are armed and dangerous, capable of harming wanton surfers and other creatures in the ocean. The first comment is a pun: "What could be the porpoise of arming these creatures?"
I want to say that some evolutionary scientists have suggested that dolphins and dogs are descended from the same ancestors. It's possibly the reason they're so friendly, and not difficult to train. Yet, like dogs, dolphins can bite the hands that feed them.
