Find Planets With Your Computer
The SETI@Home program started it all. It successfully utilized distributed computing to look for terrestrial signal, which it hasn't found so far.
A few years later, Stanford came up with Folding@Home, which I ran on my computer for a short while.
With yet another distributed computing client, you get to find extrasolar planets with your computer, with an added bonus: you can name your planet!
Name what you've "discovered" after your dog, your loved one, or even after something abstract, like Love, Freedom, or after Shakespeare's characters.
The software hasn't been released yet, but I'm so excited about it. Imagine what the other planets look like.
