I didn't know it was supposed to be so easy to get weeds, not that I've tried, but someone told me that they could get a license for cannabis just by claiming to have arthritis. I wouldn't be that surprised, except for the fact that the doctor just writes up the prescription without even a check-up.

How it worked was that you would tell a nurse that you have arthritis and get an appointment to see the doctor. When you show up, the prescription note is ready for you. It seems as if the doctor might have been deluged with requests from healthy people that he/she didn't care and just filled it out regardless of the circumstances.

Unfortunately, the side effect might have been lackadaisical participation in the republic democracy of ours.
