Darest thou say such sweet things to me
Whilst I do coldly look on thee?
Dare you see what you say you see
That does not live within each eye?
For each my eyes I do possess
Darest thou say peer into mine soul,
More of lies and of truth depress
You truly see the half of whole
The other half which doth hate thee
I hide from thee while thee hate yet
And can't express, I passive lie.
Oh truth, that not with beauty met!
Darest thou of happy days sing song
Making me less to you belong?
Whilst I do coldly look on thee?
Dare you see what you say you see
That does not live within each eye?
For each my eyes I do possess
Darest thou say peer into mine soul,
More of lies and of truth depress
You truly see the half of whole
The other half which doth hate thee
I hide from thee while thee hate yet
And can't express, I passive lie.
Oh truth, that not with beauty met!
Darest thou of happy days sing song
Making me less to you belong?
