I like this slant rime. But it's silly how I ended with a florid pentametric flourish after a series of controlled tetrameters.

Great streets of silence led away
To neighborhoods of pause;

This reminds me of U-2's Joshua Tree, Where the streets have no name. I only wish I could hear it fully, in all its various frequencies. It's what hearing aids cannot surpass in my broken ears and what cochlear implants are too limited to imitate.
