The "Bitter Debate"

President Bush says a truth: Twenty-eight Democrats did support ousting Saddam Hussein; they did believe Saddam Hussein had or was seeking weapons of mass destruction. But he did mislead with at least one thing: that yellow-cake uranium from Africa, which somehow wormed its way into his State of the Union speech, and is tied to the outing of a former CIA spy.

In retrospect, Hussein probably created the illusion that he had WMDs (not just for U.S., but also for Iran).

Alito once said abortion was not in the Constitution; now he is saying that he will support abortion as precedence permits. This conflicts me. People can change their position as they grow older and wiser, but does this very thing contraindicate letting people change the law according to their opinion?
