meaning that China was not just the discoverer of the compass, the gunpowder, and the silk, or the inventor of the firsts seismometer, or the first observer of a supernova explosion; it was a country that also made the noodly appendages that we all are touched by.

So why is it so bad, belligerent, and pollutive now? I meant China, not U.S.
