ANWR passes
Oil drilling in the Arctic will begin. Congress still has to pass a budget allocating money to this effort.
If they do, they better not mess up the wildlife and habitats there too much.

It'll still be a while before actual drilling starts. Hopefully, by then something may happen. Perhaps the enviromental friendlier Off-shore drilling will be reinstated, and there will be no need to go to Alaska.
